I have years of experience pruning trees and here is my assessment of the the Fiskars 15 inch replacement saw blade. Cheap product. Tooth design is supposed to eliminate binding, but in fact it only causes the blade to bind even more! This blade is also flimsy and it bent half way thru a routine pruning job. I am very dissatisfied and would not recommend this product.

If you need a replacement saw blade for your tree pruner, this is the best one ever. It has sharp, greedy teeth which is good because the sharper the blade the faster the cutting and the sooner you get to go have a beer and relax. When you get the new blade be sure not to get excited and cut too many branches from your trees while you are trying it out. Otherwise, your trees will look like my neighbor's trees which look like Q-tips. Not that there's anything wrong with Q-tips. They are great for getting nasty yellow wax out of the ear. But trees should look like trees, not Q-tips.

these are good blade made in the USA, it springs ok for it's size, could have been better if it alows to spring a little more, because it's almost always used in cutting trees at odd angles, for that particular purpose, it's somehow stiff and have to be careful when pushing it.

This is a well weighted hatchet. I'm not sure what Fiskar does to make their tools work so well, but this thing cuts wood like crazy. I find it almost as effective to use as an axe. That makes it great for camping or anything. I highly recommend this tool

Nice little hatchet but it comes in a large, molded plastic snap-in case with a big carry handle on top. It would look good on the garage wall but it's too bulky to carry in a backpack. Sending it back and will look at an Estwing hatchet from Home Depot instead.

These could not have been tested by humans before they were sold to the public. You have three choices of where to place your thumb while cutting grass. On top of the handle, where you cannot maintain a good grip, right on the locking button, whereby you are constantly locking them while trying to cut, and thirdly, below the button where a nasty blood blister awaits you when you pinch the crap out of your digits.

On the positive side, (which earns the 2nd star), they have a very light action, and they're lightweight, so you can throw them into your worst neighbor's yard and let them get the crap pinched out of them.

Pass on these, please.

After reading through the reviews for this product I can only assume that something went wrong at the factory when my shears were made. I have a brand new pair of these Fiskars grass shears and they don't cut grass. The blades appear to be very sharp, but also very loose. I can only assume poor quality control at the factory. There is little or no engagement of the blades and when I attempt to cut grass the cutting blades separate and do little more than bend the grass. I always look for the fiskars name when purchasing cutting instruments for the garden, and I am very disappointed in this product.

You best wear gloves with these as they tend to pinch your palm as your cutting. Other than that, they stay sharp for a very long time and cut very well.

Don't be in a hurry to get this item! It took over 3 weeks so if you want it in time to use it before your garden takes off you better order it early!



I ordered this for my fathers birthday a week in advance and everything was looking good when I was tracking the shipment. But the day before the birthday I saw that it was being returned to sender because of an incorrect address. I immediately called the post office to see if I could come get it (even though the address was correct) and they informed me that the address was fine - there just was not enough postage and they had sent it back about an hour ago. So I contacted the company and was told they were sending one out again that day.......2 weeks later still no garden hoe! UGH!!!! When I threatened to cancel my order if I did not receive it within the next few days they shipped 2 day delivery and it finally arrived. Just wonder if they ever sent the 2nd one - I never saw it!



As for the hoe - it's pretty good so far. Just don't think I will order anything from this company again.

yes, it's a GARDEN HOE, not a back yard one, for that I'll have to buy another one for serious digging, very light, very well built, works well with either glove or bare handed, cuts roots of weeds pretty well, and dug up half inch of soil if you want to, because of the angle of the head part, it's not possible to dig more than that. Did cut a 2 inch root with only one strike and get the job done, excellent shock absorbing shaft.

I am a member of the Chequamegon Chapter of the North Country Trail Association. Our chapter is responsible for maintaining 61.4 miles of North Country National Scenic Trail in the Chequamegon National Forest. After first trying a pair of these on the NCT (North Country Trail), I ordered some of these for our chapter's tool box for our volunteers to use. Over the last few years many volunteers have also purchased these on their own for use on their adopted sections of NCT. Some members have the smaller size that fits in a day pack (the PowerGear still gives these plenty of power) and others have the larger sizes. The 21-inch PowerGear is powerful enough to cut smaller evergreens and makes lopping branches a snap. Some of our volunteers are women and senior citizens and these lightweight PowerGear loppers make lopping a easier task for them. If I have any complaints, it would be the actual blade. I little more durable blade would be more desirable. Given the advantage of the PowerGear, this has been a minor consideration for our chapter.



Our volunteers would be a true testing ground for any lopping product. Not many people do as much lopping in the time span of one year than some of our dedicated volunteers. It would be fair to say, that all of our volunteers that have used these loppers give them a resounding thumbs up!!

I am quite pleased with the loppers. Others have detailed the advantages well. Indeed, I am going to buy two more.



There is a small disadvantage (and that is why I need to buy more). They cannot be sharpened very much. They are bypass shears, and on my old ones, you can see light thru the cutting heads when they are closed. In other words, I have to then rip off the few fibers not yet severed. So I need to trash my old one and replace it. I wish the design had allowed for some 'sharpening fat'.

If you have precision cutting that you need to do, these scissors are the perfect choice. You do need to be careful, though, as they are extremely sharp and are not safe for children to use.



You can lock them as well to prevent accidents and Fiskars provides replacement springs if one is ever needed. I used my scissors so much that the spring finally wore out; I couldn't find a replacment and emailed Fiskars. They send several to me free of charge with a letter thanking me for my support of their products.
